About Us

Our Mission:

"Partner with parents to educate & disciple students from a Biblical worldview."

Thank you for your interest in Umpqua Valley Christian School (UVC). UVC is committed to partnering with you in your God-given responsibility to train up your children to develop Christ-like character through academic, spiritual and physical training.

As we depend upon God’s grace, UVC strives to accomplish this considerable task by offering students in grades Pre-School through twelfth grade, a vibrant Christ-centered education that presents each subject from a distinctly Christian point of view.

UVC is fully accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). We are a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and we are also a member of the Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA). We provide an outstanding academic education and consistently compete at the highest levels of athletics.

Our Philosophy:

  • We are a discipleship school, committed to educating and training students from a Biblical worldview.

  • We are a school which will help students grow and mature spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically.

  • We take a scripturally balanced approach to educating and training students in a culture that is increasingly hostile toward the ideas of discipline and accountability.

"During a grade school recess, I (Patti) entered a classroom to deliver books. Upon entering, I realized that the teacher was sitting with two students. She was gently encouraging each student to talk with one another about their differences. Afterwards, this teacher prayed with the students.

UVC has a healthy balance of strong educational standards, wonderful Christian educators, many extracurricular opportunities, and a great community of believers with a common goal to glorify God. It is a blessing to be able to send our children to a school that has the same Christian values and goals as we do."
