Educational Beliefs

WE BELIEVE:

All Students can learn and should be taught in accordance with their specific learning abilities and their specific learning styles.

Each student is valued as an individual with unique intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Character building through the learning process is the chief priority of the school.

Teachers, staff, administrators, Board, parents, students and community members share in the responsibility for providing a supportive environment within the school.

Students learn in a variety of ways and the school is responsible to provide a variety of instructional approaches to encourage their individual learning.

Assessments of student learning should reflect the variety of learning styles and therefore the school should include a variety of opportunities to demonstrate the learning achievements of its students.

Success in education is, in part, determined by informed, biblically moral, healthy, student involvement in local community service.

The commitment to continual improvement with a spirit of excellence is imperative if the school is going to enable students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners who serve in their local communities.

The commitment to the use and training in the area of technology is critical for the student of the 21st century.

The goal of education is to develop students who care for the needs of their fellow man and have been equipped by the school to physically do so.

Education encompasses a global perspective that enlightens each student to the vast natural resources of God’s earth and the extreme variety of peoples and cultures who populate it, recognizing the ingenious creativity of the Creator in the learning process.
