Ivette Howard

Before becoming a teacher here at UVC, Mrs.Howard was a dental assistant in the military for four years, an instructional assistant at East Elementary and has worked at a variety of schools in various positions because her family had to move so often. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelors in Psychology. Mrs.Howard enjoys finding fun ways to teach her students and see how every class has its own personality.

Some of Mrs.Howard’s favorite memories are from trips her family has taken to Palau, Japan, and Europe. She is married to her husband Joe and they have two kids, Alena and Alex who both love sports. They love traveling as a family and trying new foods at restaurants as much as possible. They attend St.Joseph’s Catholic Church and she is a lector for the Spanish mass. She also enjoys gardening and planning trips and visiting farmers’ markets or farms to pick her own fruit.
