Kayla Wicks

Mrs.Wicks runs Umpqua Valley Christian’s social media/website, helps counsel students, and is a substitute teacher. She loves getting to be creative, seeing students grow in their relationship with Christ, and having the opportunity to be a vessel of love for them in different ways. Mrs.Wicks attended Whitworth University and received a degree in Art and Secondary Education with a minor in Theology. Before joining UVC, she was a high school art teacher and coached soccer and track for three years at a private Christian school up near Portland. Since college she has also run her own photography business as well.  

Mrs.Wicks and her husband got married in 2018 and love camping at national parks, spending time with their families, and running/training for races together. She competed in the heptathlon and triple jump in college and because track was in the spring, got to spend a month in Greece one year and a month in Hawaii for Jan term. Mrs.Wicks and her husband attend Covenant Life Fellowship and she enjoys running, photography, reading, art, and sharing meals with loved ones.
